When we launched Woven With Hope five years ago we had a storage tub full of simple wall-hangings, brand new social media accounts, and some really big dreams. While many of those dreams have not played out quite the way we imagined, it is incredible how many of them have become a reality.

·      We have online shops on Etsy and Faire, as well as our own website.

·      We have an incredible partnership with a non-profit warehouse that fills all of our orders and stores our products in the States.

·      We trained our first weaver to use a ground loom, the traditional weaving style all our artisans’ ancestors would have used.

·      We offer medical expense support to our artisans’ families and high school funds to the daughters of artisans due to generous donations.

In fact, as we look back, the only disappointment we really have is the rate of growth. We’ve stood steady at about ten artisans for nearly three years now, when there are many other women who would love to join us.

However, even in this, we’ve recently seen cause for gratitude. This year, we’ve watched other similar businesses that we had looked to as models close their doors or majorly restructure, and we recognize our very smallness has enabled us to ride out a stormy season.

As we celebrate the past five years we are SO full of gratitude for everyone who has contributed to this journey. For the people and businesses around the world who have contributed their advice and encouragement. For the incredible volunteers who have hosted events and staffed booths. For the many, many people who have bought our products and shared our story. And finally, for our incredible artisans who continue to strive to improve their craft and support their families.

This journey has been such an incredible blessing to witness.
